Friday Oct 7

1. Failure to go up the Eiffel Tower, again.
- So, Sam wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower because it just didn't work out last time. Michelle and I got ready for the day and talked with them via facebook to figure things out. We made plans to where Michelle and I would have enough time to go to an ATM before we had to walk to the Eiffel Tower. After we got cash out, we found out that we had more time than we thought. Like I mentioned Annie got her Iphone stolen the day before, so Daryl thought it would be a good idea for her to go to the police Station. Annie needed a way to contact her family while she was at the police station so she was calling Sam who was on Skype with her dad. Michelle and I decided to wander around until Sam called us to meet up. While walking around Trocadero we got a call from Brynn saying that she was with Annie and that we should meet them at the craft store.

2. Meeting up with Brynn and Annie.
-We went to Cour St-Emilion, which is kinda far away to go to the craft store. We called them, and met them in the Monoprix. Brynn was buying a few last minute things for the party she was throwing the next day. We were all pretty hungry so we walked around to try to find a good place to eat. There were a lot of places in the area, but they were either closed or really expensive. We ended up going back to the Monoprix and actually eating at the cafe there. I got a smoothie, while the other girls got a little meal that came with; orange juice, hot chocolat, toast, and a pain au chocolat.I wasn't content with my smoothie, and the toasted baguette looked really good... so I asked for some! They brought me a basket full of toast probably at least one and a half full baguettes. It was kinda funny going to a restaurant to order toast, but hey it totally hit the spot! After our little meal we went into the craft store and looked around again. I want everything in there... I miss creating art so, so much.

3. 1 hour until spending the evening with our new friends.
-We were going to go have dinner that night with our new Asian friends. On our way to where we needed to meet him we went to the notebook store that is right next to Professor Lee's apartment. Annie bought some pens that she fell in love with... which I want to go back and buy now. Then we went over to the grocery store across the street to buy some coke and cookies to bring with us to dinner. We we in a hurry so I accidently left my umbrella and had to walk back, so we were even more late. Wuphf.

4. La Defense and our Chinese friends.
- The metro was Jam packed, we ended up having to wait for three trains to come until we could actually get on. It was ridiculous. When we finally got to the La Defense metro stop, we went under the grand arch and tried to call our friends. We waited there for maybe 10 minutes before we finally got together with everyone, then we walked to their apartment. I talked with Zhuai (spelling??) on the way to the apartment, and I realized that I have a random talent. I noticed that I am really good at understanding foreigners speak English, and I am really good at speaking slow and easily to people who don't speak English very well. Some of the girls would have a hard time understanding their accents, but I could understand. And the same goes to the Chinese girls who couldn't understand our lingo and our fast talking, I could speak to them in a way that they understood. I guess that is a good talent.

5. A real Chinese meal.
-There apartment was cute but crammed. The food all looked amazing! They had made so much for us it was so nice of them! I tried a lot of new things, and there was a lot of food I liked and a lot that I didn't like at all! It was definitely not Panda Express, which I really enjoyed. I spilt my rice all over me and on the floor at one point.. such a mess, but I was more upset about the fact that I wouldn't be able to eat it. For desert they gave us these peanut jelly roll things covered in sesame seeds.. they tasted like peanut butter. (which I miss so, SO much!) We took a lot of funny pictures and sang to Justin Bieber. It was a really funny night. Oh and guess what else? They had a cat!! It was really scared, but I got to hold it for a bit! He was so cute, soft and fluffy... I miss my kitty cats.

6. That was my Friday Night!
- Michelle and I went home right after that! On our way home we ran into some sister missionaries talking to some members visiting. Its so cool how you can just walk up to members and talk to them like you have been friends your whole life. That is basically what we did. Man, I love this church. Anyways... That was that!
