21h15 Pau et Albi.

What a fantastic Sabbath day. Sadly we were leaving the beautiful Saint Jean de Luz, so we had to get everything packed this morning. For some odd reason I feel like my suit case shrunk?? I only bought my gypsi pants, and some food for my mothers. I didn’t even have them in my suit case, they were in my back pack. Why was my suitcase so hard to pack up? Oh well, better not buy anything that needs to go in there.

We got on the bus and drove for an hour and a half to sacrament meeting. Lucky me, I slept the whole way there. The past few days I have had a sore throat and sadly today, I got the dreaded runny nose… yuck. I had to keep tissues on me at all times. We finally got to the tiny church building and walked in just in time. It was so fun to be able to sing in French and listen to the talks in French. Even the sacrament bread tasted amazing. We tried to mingle a bit with the members, but It didn’t work out very well. I said hi to a lot of people, but that’s about it. We only went to sacrament meeting because we didn’t want to overwhelm everyone by going into their class.

Once we left, we drove to Chateau de Pau. It was such a cute little castle. We walked around and got tons of pictures. I ran out of film and my battery died in both cameras right when we were about to leave. Here are some of the photos taken at the Chateau:

Did I mention I wore my new Gypsi pants today??? -Aren't they cool??

They had the cutest little garden. I loved seeing all the “H’s” knowing that someday I will be a Hilton!

We got back onto the bus and traveled for about four hours to Albi. I slept a bit, and I listened to music. I was sitting right behind Madam Lee, and I got to watch her draw some amazing cartoons. Here is her blog with some of her cartoons : http://avoidancebehaviorworks.blogspot.com/
She is actually going to talk about the trip as well, so if you are starving for more check out her blog! I tried to draw one of the line drawings where you don’t pick up your pen. It was hard, but a lot of fun. Évidemment it wasn’t as good as Mary Lee’s.

Once we got to Albi we checked into our Hotel and went out for dinner. About 18 of us gals all went to a pizzeria. “Ev’s” we didn’t all sit together. We all had a grand ol’ time talking in English accents so we weren’t the annoying Americans… but I get in reality we were the annoying Americans who thought they were British. After dinner everyone went to go get Gelato, I was starting to feel super sicky so I was anxious to get back. We walked down to get a quick sneak peek at the cathedral we are seeing tomorrow. It looked awesome. So you’ll be seeing some photos of that tomorrow along with the Toulouse-Lautrec museum, which I am so excited for!

With the traveling, I didn’t have much to talk about! Hope all is well back in the USA, and I hope you all had a great Sept. 11th. Salut.
